NEW LOW: Kathy Griffin, Charles M. Blow, Shannon Watts (and more!) attack @POTUS for meeting with Angel Families

President Donald Trump met with “Angel Families” at the White House today — those are families who lost loved ones in crimes committed by illegal immigrants — and we could have close to a new low from folks on the left.

Kathy Griffin accused the president of using the families as propaganda:

Resistance doc Eugene Gu said he using the people who had family members killed by illegal immigrants to “demonize” illegal immigrants:

We should respect every family of every race, creed, or religion who loses a loved one due to violent crime. But the President of the United States uses his powerful platform to weaponize “Angel Families" and demonize undocumented immigrants. Horrifying.

Charles M. Blow of the New York Times wondered how the Trump administration was able to organize this event so fast:

Trump can round up “Angel Families” in a day or so to exploit their grief.

Melania can plan a tour of facilities in Texas in 48 hour.

Yet, we STILL don’t have a reunification plan for these families.

Anti-gun Shannon Watts attacked the families for having Trump autograph photos of their loved ones:

This is weird, right? https://t.co/UZAuiARMEZ

As did writer/comedian Nick Jack Pappas:

Don't be surprised that Trump signed pictures of lost members of "Angel Families."

He signed checks to silence women.

He signed orders to ban Muslims.

He signed a bill to give tax cuts to the rich.

The most dangerous thing in America right now is Donald Trump's signature.

And screenwriter Randi Mayem Singer made it racist:

Per DJT, if your loved one is killed by a brown person, you're an "angel family," if your loved one is killed by a white person, you're (not helpful to the dog whistling, so never mind that), and if you're a brown person and your loved one is stolen by the USA, you're irrelevant.

Note that none of the anti-Trumpers bothered to listen to any of the stories:

The stories being told by Angel Families at the White House right now are absolutely horrifying. A shame they don’t receive the same outrage and empathy response as the illegal alien lawbreakers repeatedly do.

The stories were heartbreaking:

Amid the national conversation on immigration, we must never forget the heartbreaking loss that Angel Families have suffered at the hand of illegal immigration. I was humbled to join @POTUS today at the @WhiteHouse to meet with these families. God bless our Angel Families. pic.twitter.com/n5TiIWx7O5

Like this one about mom who was contemplating suicide:

Angel Mom says Trump saved her from suicide:

“I was gonna end my life – I had no purpose. But President Trump coming down that escalator that day and talking about illegal immigration stopped me in my tracks.”#MAGA

More here:

Angel Mom Mary Ann Mendoza: "There are hundreds of thousands of victims every year who are affected by illegal alien crime – rape, assault, identity theft… The mainstream media does not let you know what's really happening." pic.twitter.com/IuwEmrdLvw
